MPS Law Adds Peter Levy, Julie Cunniff to Real Estate Group

CHICAGO (November 2, 2018) – In a move to bolster its already strong real estate presence, Chicago area law firm Meltzer, Purtill & Stelle (MPS Law) is pleased to announce the recent additions of Peter Levy and Julie Cunniff to its Real Estate Group.

Levy joins MPS’s Schaumburg office as a partner and arrives with a longstanding reputation as one of the area’s top real estate practitioners. He has represented clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to individual entrepreneurs and is well versed in all facets of real estate law, counseling clients locally, nationally and internationally on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, land assemblages, construction documentation, and development documentation. He also has significant leadership and experience in the timeshare industry and has served as a trustee of the American Resort and Development Association (ARDA) for the last 10 years.

Cunniff joins the firm’s Chicago office as an Of Counsel Member with an extensive background representing banks, financial institutions, and corporate entities in their commercial finance, debt restructuring, leasing, and real estate transactions. She is particularly experienced in complex financial transactions encompassing secured and unsecured commercial credit facilities, consisting of term loans and non-revolving and revolving credit facilities. She also assists developers and homebuilders with land acquisition and works with clients in the financing, development, and construction of mixed-use developments and new home communities.
