John J. Lipic

John focuses his practice on commercial real estate and related areas, including finance, private equity, investment, leasing and asset management. He has built a reputation as a dealmaker and closer who brings common sense solutions to sophisticated commercial real estate and finance matters.

John represents insurance companies and other commercial lenders who look to him for assistance with all aspects of their real estate lending activities, as well as real estate investors and companies that use and occupy commercial real estate for business purposes. He is skilled with multi-state and portfolio transactions, and has significant experience with real estate workouts, loan restructurings and deeds in lieu of foreclosure. In addition, John maintains an active agribusiness and corporate finance practice.

Prior to joining MPS, John was a partner in the Chicago office of a major international AM Law 100 firm. Before that, he spent 8 years working as a CPA for a Big-4 accounting firm, which gives him a unique breadth of professional experience and a deep understanding of complex legal and business matters.
