Evan focuses his practice on secured lending, real estate transactions, commercial litigation, contract law, and corporate compliance. He primarily represents local, regional and national lenders and financial institutions, with an emphasis on those that make, package, and service U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(a) and 504 loans. His clients value his prior experience in litigation and regulatory compliance, which enable him to provide practical counsel on the risks of any given transaction. Evan also helps clients conduct compliance reviews and prophylactic research to anticipate and react to changes in the law, and his experience in transactional lending provides him with a unique perspective on asset sales, stock and membership sales, and both construction and non-construction commercial real estate lending.

Evan has a natural ability to develop a deep understanding of his clients’ businesses and the issues they face while keeping their immediate and future goals at the forefront of every legal solution.

Prior to joining MPS in 2021, Evan was a principal at a mid-size Chicago law firm.
